About Us

Dr. Curtis was born and raised in Red Bank and is thrilled to be practicing in her hometown. After graduating from Red Bank Regional, she went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Finally, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.

Before going into practice, Dr. Curtis had the opportunity to experience numerous clinical externships. She completed rotations at the William Feinbloom Low Vision and Vision Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, as well as at Omni Eye Services in Iselin, NJ.

Dr. Curtis is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. Outside the office, Erin is actively involved in the community and attends Park Church in Tinton Falls. She lives with her husband and her 3 young daughters in Tinton Falls.

Hailing from the Buckeye State, Dr. Diana Milheim is a proud Ohio State College of Optometry grad where she completed her undergraduate and professional degrees. Her Midwestern roots extended to Illinois upon graduation, where she was in private practice both in an ophthalmology office and optometry practice for thirteen years. She’s practiced general optometry, gaining experience in all facets of eyecare from routine exams, frame selection, contact lenses, emergent care, and medical optometry. She is trained and skilled in all types of emergencies, diagnosing and treating glaucoma, retinal exams, and more.

Upon moving to Robbinsville, New Jersey, she enjoyed some quality family time with her 4 daughters and adjusted to life on the East Coast. Now back at work, Diana and her husband, Mike, spend most of their free time enjoying (and paying for) their girls’ sporting and extracurricular activities. An occasional home improvement project or vacation is slipped in, as well.

She's thrilled to be a part of our office during this exciting time and looks forward to meeting many new faces in the coming weeks. If she’s not discussing contact lens or frame options with you, she’ll probably be talking college football or child-rearing concerns.

After years of practicing in New York State, Dr. Thompson is happy to be joining a practice so close to her home in Rumson, NJ. Dr. Thompson grew up in Buffalo, NY, but since moving to Monmouth County and raising her children here, she is firmly entrenched in the community and both the school systems of Holy Cross and Rumson/Fair Haven. Dr. Thompson graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY and earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.

Before her work in private practice, Dr. Thompson was able to obtain varied clinical expertise in multidisciplinary settings such as the Veteran's Administration Medical Center of Wilkes-Barre, Pa and the Eye Institute of Philadelphia. Dr. Thompson is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the Monmouth/Ocean County Optometric Society.

Outside of the optometry office you may see Dr. Thompson driving her 3 children to basketball, soccer, football or dance. She and her family are avid beach lovers and though she is still a long suffering Buffalo Bills fan, she most enjoys cheering on her son at Rumson/Fairhaven football games or her daughters at their dance competitions.

A Family You Can Trust

Why should you trust our family with your family's vision?

  • Our office has been in Red Bank for over 75 years. We will be here to grow up with your children.
  • Our private practice location ensures that your child will receive individualized attention in a familiar and comfortable environment.
  • Our doctors are experts in contact lens training for students. At Red Bank Eye, we believe that responsible and willing children as young as ten (sometimes even younger) can become successful and happy contact lens wearers.
  • Our student lens package offers absolute best technology available on the market. Using impact resistant material and Crizal treatments, we make the best light-weight, impact resistant, cleanable, eye-strain reducing lenses on the planet. And all student glasses are guaranteed against loss or damage for the first year at no additional charge.
  • Our office carries a broad range of frames for students.
  • The doctors reserve extra time for every new patient student exam. You won't leave until every question that you have about your child's vision is answered.
  • Our doctors have extensive experience working with children of all ages. In addition to her five years as a volunteer youth worker at her church, Dr. Curtis also visits area schools for speaking engagements. She has done presentations to the students at Red Bank Primary School, River Plaza Elementary, Howell High School and to the Avid Program at Red Bank Middle School. Dr. Milheim is a mother of 4 and is active in her community working with youth organizations and athletics. Dr. Thompson is a mother of 3 and is also extremely involved in her community and the lives of student athletes.

We look forward to meeting you and your family!
