Guide to Your Visit:
Once you have an appointment, here is what you can expect at your visit:
We are located in a beautiful coffee-colored Victorian home, a century home of historic Red Bank. You'll find us on the corner of the Riverview Hospital cross-street/ driveway and across from the parking garage. Parking is on-street, so bring a few quarters for the meters if you will be visiting us between the hours of 9am-6pm.
As you enter our building, straight ahead is our reception area, where you will be warmly welcomed by our team. We will check you in smoothly and efficiently and you will be brought back to the examination rooms quickly.*** We ask that you complete all your paperwork BEFORE you arrive. You can do this here on the website, under the "Patient Services" tab on the home page, and the information will be sent to us securely and encrypted. If you'd rather, you may print the forms and fill them out on paper and bring them with you already completed. Completing your forms prior to your visit will expedite your check-in, eliminate your wait time, and allow the doctors to begin the examination on time.***
Our technician will escort you into the exam room where she will prepare you for your visit with the doctor. She will ask you some questions about your eyes and vision, and about your goals and expectations for your visit. She will complete some automated pre-testing with you as directed by the doctor, and this may vary by patient. The technician will relay your discussion and pre-testing results to the doctor who will then be completely prepared to see you.
Your eye examination will be thorough and comprehensive, and our doctors will take all the time that is needed to accomplish this. They will review with you any eye health or vision concerns they find, and will clearly discuss the plan to treat and help you. You won't leave until all your eye-related and vision questions are answered!
Next you will move in to our check-out area. This is an integral part of your appointment, as we will assist you in scheduling your future appointments, ordering contact lenses, and answering any questions you may have regarding your insurance or billing. Then you’ll be introduced to the members of our optical team.
Our optical team has a special gift of getting to know you and putting you at ease as you select your eyeglasses. Ron and Maggie and Ruthie, the members of this team, will give you the individual attention you deserve during this important process. They will speak with the doctor to find out what has been prescribed, and will assist you in the best selection of spectacle frames and lenses. They have assembled a beautiful selection of frames for you to try, and they will guide you through choosing the best for you with warmth and kindness. You won't be disappointed by this high-end, modern, and family-friendly optical boutique!
